The Central Training Institute (CTI), Mannuthy, under the Directorate of Extension, Kerala Agricultural University, successfully conducted a three-day “Induction Training Programme for Newly Recruited Farm Assistants (Second Batch)” from 06.05.2026 to 08.05.2026 at Karshakabhavanam, Vellanikkara.
A total of 37 newly recruited Farm Assistants from various stations and institutions under KAU participated in the programme. The training was inaugurated by Dr. K.N. Anith, Director of Research, KAU.
The programme included sessions on communication and interpersonal relations, digital tools for extension and farm management, teamwork and leadership, scientific farm management, farm records, precision farming techniques, quality seed and planting material production and Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Field visits, practical activities and panel discussions provided participants with valuable hands-on exposure and interactive learning experiences.
The programme aimed at strengthening the technical knowledge, managerial skills and professional competencies of newly recruited farm assistants for efficient farm management and institutional functioning under KAU.
